Block editor basics: write faster with the slash menu

Every page in Sphere is a stack of blocks. A block can be a paragraph, a heading, a to-do, a bullet, a quote or a callout.

The slash menu

Start a new line and type /. A menu opens with every block type. Keep typing to filter, use the arrow keys to move, and press Enter to insert.

Press Enter at the end of a to-do and Sphere starts a new to-do for you. Press Enter on an empty one to go back to plain text.

Small habits that help

Use one heading per idea so pages stay easy to scan. Put the one thing people must not miss in a callout.
